Family & Genealogy
Oral interviews, historical documents, genetic testing, and other records are used by genealogists to learn more about a family and to prove the kinship and ancestry of its members. Results are frequently presented in charts or in narrative form. Learning about one's family's past, including where they came from, who they were, what they did, the difficulties they overcame, the successes they attained, and the goals they had, can help one develop a stronger sense of self.
